Anyone can sign up for our hosting services and receive top quality PHP and mySQL enabled hosting at a fraction of the cost of most hosting companies! Whatever sort of web site you've got, are designing, or are thinking of designing we should be able to host it! If you're using a particular technology for your web site such as PHP, ASP or ASP.net please feel free to check our FAQ's to see if we support it. Remember: You don't even need to be a student!

StudentWebHosting.co.uk provides a low cost hosting solution aimed at students. There are an increasing number of students on web based courses, both at Universities and colleges. The majority of these students require a hosting solution more advanced than the basic facilities provided free by their internet service provider.

History

Some universities supply access to an internal "Web Server" which students can use for the development and testing of Perl Programs / PHP pages but these servers can rarely be accessed from outside the universities network due to security risks

Before StudentWebHosting.co.uk there was no easily affordable solution for students desiring the hosting features found on the servers used in industry - after all, if your studying web design, you’re likely to be using a server similar to ours once you're in the industry and developing sites professionally for clients.

Costs

StudentWebHosting exists to provide a service to students within the UK, our services are offered practically "at cost" which means we have a very low profit margin. We are here in the first instance to provide a service, and are always happy to hear from our customers on how we can improve that service. Since 2002 Student Web Hosting have grown and expanded, we now operate our own servers that service hundreds of satisfied customers. We also have numerous strategic contracts with a number of student based companies both in the UK and abroad.
